Students build ROVs at Mullenix Ridge Elementary School STEM Event

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (Dec. 12, 2016) Employees of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) and Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC) Northwest assist students in building and testing underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) during a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) event at Mullenix Ridge Elementary School. The event featured underwater ROVs that students built and had to drive through a pool completing various obstacles and retrieving items off the bottom of the pool.
