PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (Nov. 7, 2018) – Jedi Minters, a terminally-ill three-year-old boy, meets Naval Base Kitsap Sailors and the Region Northwest Harbor Patrol Unit 7 with his father, Jason, during ‘Jedi’s Special Day’ at the entrance to the Port of Bremerton boat launch. Jedi, who has been fighting leukemia for the last year-and-a-half, has a passion for trucks, cars, emergency, and other similar vehicles. At the request of his father, the city of Port Orchard teamed with Navy Region Northwest security personnel, emergency responders, and local businesses throughout the county to coordinate the event to help celebrate the life of Jedi, whose care team has given him only months to live.
